Halloween was getting close, so we decided to get a pumpkin and carve it into a spooky face. We carved it, and then we had the seeds from inside left over. That meant we could make toasted pumpkin seeds! Here's what we did...
First, we washed all the gooey, sticky stuff off the seeds. Then, we oiled a pan and spread the seeds out so they didn't overlap one another. Then we sprinkled salt on top and baked them in the oven until they were all nice and crispy. They tasted delicious. I brought some into school for snacks, and we put some of them on our salad later on.
Best part: Scooping the slime and the seeds from inside the pumpkin... with our hands.
Yuckiest part: There wasn't any yuckiest part. (I loved the whole thing.)
